When We Are Closed
If you need a doctor outside of normal surgery hours dial 111 and your call will be put through to the responsible out-of-hours provider - 'Integrated Care' (IC24). A trained receptionist will take the details of your problem and arrange for a local doctor or nurse practitioner to give telephone advice, to see you at one of the medical bases or arrange to visit you at home if appropriate.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
